Default LT's collector leaking, fix with epoxy for metal?

My Lt's leak at the collector, in the middle where the 4 pipes come together so it can not be welded according to the shops here, one suggested maybe try epoxy for metal because I could use something to push the epoxy up in there, he said it would smell for awhile and then go away and it might fix/seal it, so I bought some and it has a picture of a engine block on it, doesn't mention exhaust, but is there any chance this stuff could catch fire or anything bad due to the heat of the LT's? or is the smell the worst that could happen?

It took All weekend for me and a mechanic friend of mine with air tools to put them on and the system is welded and would have to be cut....way to much work, I will either live with the exhaust fumes in the car or try this.
