Default LPP headers Hitting Motor Mount

I've got the passenger side in but the driver side is being a real bastard. The front pipe on the header is hitting the drivers motor mount. What do I do? Its also touching the k-member. I can't get the bolts to line up.

Thanks,
Nick

Grind away enough to make clearance for the headers.

/\ thats pretty much your only option other than getting a new set or a different set of headers.

I had the same problem, I grinded away at the motor mount a little, then I put a jack under the collector end while tightening the header to the motor. Mine might still be resting on there but I dont notice it. I wouldnt worry about it, comes with the price of a cheaper header.

Exact reason I decided to stay away from LPP headers. It sounds like it is a 50/50 chance with these headers fitting without issues. Hope you get it squared away.

My friend has LPP's and has the same issue, the driver side header touches ****. I told him poly motor mounts will prolly fix his problem, but not to bet on it. Either way the design doesn't seem to be that great on these headers.

Exact reason why my LPPs were sent back and bought ARHs. Someday folks will learn.

Either grind what its hitting on the car or put a dent in the primary.

I just ordered the solid mounts from speed inc. I fought with it a little more today just to make sure it wouldn't fit. I'm not willing to grind or modify the headers. I figure I might as well take advantage of the situation.

Carl at LPP had this to say.
"We have had a couple of people that had the header hit the motor mount but it didn't keep the bolts from going in.
They just had to pull the header back a little with the bolts installed to get some clearance. You can enlarge the bolt holes a little more if you need to."

By the way taking the passenger header off that I already installed was a bitch!! Those damn stage 8 bolt clips suck even more to take off.
