I bought an 01 camaro z28 and I think it has a hooker exhaust, the sound is low db so I was wondering if it was good and if it is what would be a good way for the car to sound louder without replacing it?

headers and an ORY will wake it up. i have a friend that has an LS1 T/A and he has pacesetter headers and ORY, and the Hooker catback and it sounds great. not overly loud, but it sounds good.

i have hooker lt's ORY and hooker catback.... i think it has a great tone is plenty loud enough for where i live.... yea, i wouldnt mind having a little louder exhaust but cops around here will bust u real fast for illegal exhaust... it's loud enough to where i'm nervous bout cops everytime i go out... overall great setup IMO

Sorry for my ignorance but what is an ORY? And would adding a cutout produce more sound in a good way?

ORY=off road y pipe= y pipe with no cats.

a cutout would give you wide open sound. IMO sounds like **** when put after the y-pipe, but ok right after the headers.
