PRC 5.3's vs PRC 243's, and cam Was wondering what would be best for my CTS-V. I'm looking at the PRC stage 2.5 5.3's and the PRC stage 2.5 243's.... I like the idea of the bump in compression on the 5.3's. Which head has the best runner shape for velocity as I'm staying N/A?? Was also looking into a cam, something on the smaller/stealthy side, to keep the caddy.... A caddy lol. Maybe a 224/220 .600/.600 116+2 on the XE-R lobes. The car will also have 1 3/4" Kooks with cats, do u think 500rw is possible with this setup? |
either head is fine, you know you can have them mill the 243 head down. My 243's are at 61cc which is roughly 11.1. The 224/220 cam an those heads are not going to come close to 500rwhp, you are honestly looking at 400ish rwhp numbers. Is the cts-v a 5.7L? |
thought the CTS-V was an LS6...? |
Ohh damn I'm way off. Excuse me, I just got out of the mustang game. Still don't know what to expect with these motors. Lol I just want a set of cnc'd OEM casting heads, with about 11:1 and something in the area of a 220 cam on a 116 to keep the idle stockish and +2 to bring the curve down some. If 400 is all I'll get then so be it. And yes. 05' LS6 car. Just got it 3 weeks ago, with a intake I ran 13.4 @ 111. |
