Default could this be my IAC valve?

so after transplanting this motor into a new chassis it all of a sudden has a bouncing idle when the car is cold up until its fully warmed up. itll bounce to 1400 and then bog to nearly 500 and bounce then bog etc... until the car is FULLY warmed up...how can i test to see if it IS my IAC?

Default

I doubt it's the IAC, if IAC were nonresponsive it
would not bounce. Bouncing in my experience is
from either mixture error (rich motor is too slow
and lets the idle RPM loop "wind up") or an IAC
channel restriction (ditto windup, from not enough
high-side authority to get the job done clean).

See what happens when you command a set IAC
position with scan tool bidirectional controls?
