Default P&P Throttle body on a 98?

Is there any issue running a 99 or later TB on a 98? I'm trying to find a nice ported one, but they all seem to be later TB and I don't want to run into a problem with the throttle cable because the cam on the 98 is smaller (hence shorter cable). I searched a bit and couldn't find any info on this.

I believe it is a different sized cam. If it is you will just need to purchase a different throttle cable iirc.

Could I swap out the cam? Would swapping the cable cause any problems with cruise control?

98-99 had the same cam on the TB, 2000+ had the larger one. when we did mine, we just tore the TB apart and switched the cams.
