Do any of you guys running the race pump have a part# for the upper and lower radiator hoses you used or did you just use a universal kit?

You can use the stock upper. The lower, I just used a 30" universal flex hose. I believe the diameter is 1.5".

No, I don't run the power steering cooler. Madman manual rack here. My upper hose is just a stock F-Body unit with no power steering cooler.

Question

I just had a race pump and a motor plate installed. I run the Madman manual rack also. I sure would like to figure out the bottom hose situation also. Can anyone help with a part #? Can you use a flex hose for the top also? If so what would the part # be?

Thanks,
Coach

What problems are you guys having with the top hose? My stock one works perfectly. I just went to O'Reilly and asked for the universal flex hose.

The problem that I am having on the top hose is, that it rest on the front of the pump. I just want a little more space so the heat from the hose stays away from the front of the pump.

How long is the universal flex hose?

Oh, okay. Mine has been that close to the pump for 3000 miles or so and no problems.

The flex hose is 30" I believe.

I took my stock lower hose to the auto parts store and they had mucho hoses hanging on the wall. I picked one from the wall that matched the stock profile pretty close, cut a bit of excess off the new one and vvwwaaala. A hose that works.

How do you plan on modifying the tensioner?

Tom

No tensioner here. Madman did it with the alt. I now have a killer motor plate and only 1 belt from the balancer to the alt.

I am also running just an alternater. I was going to have Billingsly fab the alt bracket up for me. Is there an easier way to do this? How did you use a tensioner? Got any pics of your set-up?
