Most people seem to like it. It's easily good for 1mph at the track.

I've got FTRA.. had it since before any of the other companies made similar items (back when Whisper tried stealing the design from Phillip@fast toys)

Works great... I had to modify mine some... but thats only because I have a 28,000 GVW trans cooler installed...

As far as opening and closing.. I've never sealed mine up (the rain block off plate) and haven't had a problem... if you decide to close it off... it's a matter of removing the lid (easy), taking a screwdriver and unscrewing 2 screws... put rain blocker on top and reinstall 2 screws...

I've had one on my car for 18 months now. It works great. I've never closed it up. Big seat of the pants gain. No problems except a dirty air filter (what do you expect).

It's a must do mod, right along with a lid and catback.

Sounds like it is definently worth my money. I was thinking of getting a 5.0shifter but maybe this and a catback would be money better spent in the here and now.

I've read numerous posts about how great the FTRA. I don't have one personally, but it is on my "mod list". I would say get that along with the catback and for another $25, you can get a Jarrod Short Stick. Night and day difference over the stock shifting!!
