Got some late christmas gifts :)
Decided to get some christmas presents for myself
After alot of reading and chit chatting with a few people, I decided to give the "ebay" headers a shot. I got the headers and y-pipe from different sellers and I thought that I might have issues with fitting but amazingly everything lined up pretty good. They are both stainless which was the biggest reason for giving them a shot. The flanges are really thick, welds looked great and after install not a single leak from the headers themselves, just need 2 more stepped band clamps to finish off the y-pipe, I just have the u-bolt clamps snug on there for now. I went ahead and got rid of egr and a.i.r. while I was in there and installed my Z28 head plate that I had lying around forever lol.
one day, one day......
Overall I'm very pleased with them, butt dyno feels good and they sound great. I've had Hooker, Heddman, SLP, Dynatech, Summit and Gibson headers before and have to say these compare pretty good in quality (I think they look/feel better than alot of the headers I've had) The drivers side headers is barely touching the k-member and I can feel a slight vibration at idle from it but I'm not too worried about it right now, I only notice it at stoplights and it's not bad at all, I'm just ****. I'll be going back in there soon when I do the cam so I'll grind that little tab away and be good to go. I have no banging or anything from my pipes either which makes me a happy man, that and paying less than $300 for the whole setup makes my wallet happy. You can see my new SFC's in the pic too, going down tomorrow and putting my cutout in then have to decide what to do next lol.

Thanks guys! Gotta put my window motors in tomorrow after I put in the cutout, gonna order those new clamps too. I've had Dynatech's on an LS1 before and really liked those, and I'm very happy I decided to try these out. Ya they do look similar to the LPP's, I was originally thinking about going with the LPP's but decided to give these a shot

I got my stepped stainless clamps from jegs...$7 each. Also got my egr/air block off plates from them too. I had to elongate the holes on the egr portion of the header so the plate would fit. Short amount of time with a file, worked great.

I got my blockoff plates from a guy on ebay, made out of billet and came with gaskets etc, just sucked that the new headers had different sized threads for the AIR than EGR so only 2 of the supplied bolts worked. Oh well that's why I keep a box of nuts/bolts around lol. I'll check out jegs for the clamps, thanks!

ya I kinda giggled at that but I doubt it honestly, I'd think the extra flow from the piping and not having that pancake piece would make up for it, plus I'm eventually going to redo the exhaust, thinking side-by-side duals over the passenger axle into an dynomax x-flo muffler with dual cutouts. I'd cut the pipe right there at the "merge" and run stainless all the way back. At least it's pointed toward the rear a bit instead of flowing right into a wall like some I've seen lol (even seen some where it's pointed back toward the front a tad lol)

lol, tried to find a video of a goat being beat, and they don't make much noise when getting hit with stuff lol. Thanks, I plan on changing the exhaust out soon. There's a spintech for sale locally I thought about but I'd really like to do true duals like on some of my old F-Bodies. So not sure if I wanna bother with it right now. It has a flowmaster on it now that came with the car so I haven't bothered messing with it other than the tips. And thanks Detoxx, got a fullsize pic of that *** in your avatar, looks amazing lol

When I got my LPP headers and x-pipe, they somehow accidentally sent a y-pipe along with it, and it is exactly the same y-pipe you got. It is a pretty crappy merge. The x-pipe crossover is pretty poor too. It sounds and flows good though. Here is what mine sounds like
