nick williams 90mm tb throttle blade hitting anyone ever have this happen?

Default nick williams 90mm tb throttle blade hitting anyone ever have this happen?

on my nick williams 90mm tb ever since i had it put on the throttle blade sticks alittle as it first opens and makes the peddle hard to hit the gas at first should i have it ported alittle to fix this?

It would be a little overkill just to fix the sticking IMO unless you have the money to spend. Easiest thing to do is take it off, take the blade off and sand the edges down around the blade with very light sandpaper, nothing crazy and then take the sandpaper to the inside of the TB where the blade sits at idle and get that area some, again nothing crazy, a little bit will make a difference. Then buff and polish if you really need it to look "professional" and also before reassemble, clean and if you want, add a small amount of lube the axle the blade moves on in the corners to make sure its not sticking there either. Dont leave gobs tho that can enter the intake. This way you will save money and time.

Turn the adjustment screw to open the blade slightly. That will fix what you are describing.

Just makes sure to reset your TPS to where it reads 0. You would have to turn it a decent amount to raise idle up that high. Sounds like the blade is barely binding.
