Default TPIS 90mm lS6 intake is it still worth it?

I've got a LS6 intake boxed up I've had for a few yrs, would a TPIS 90mm conversion give me a worthwhile power increase over my BBK SSI intake w/85mm ported TB ?
How about opening up the SSI to fit a ported 90mm TB?

Please, Let me know why you suggest a certain poll option.

Thanks!

whats the cost? Personally finding a used fast 78 is an excellent bang for the buck mod if you message it out to fit that 85mm tb. I would say the tpis is not a worthwhile mod for you.

$350 for converting the LS6 intake, and I would still need a 90mm TB, so it's still not cheep!
Another option that I'm just now considering is opening up the BBK intake to accept a 90mm TB.

I know that when i ported my stock ls6 intake up to fit my port and polished 80 i could feel the difference. keep the BBK and port it to fit the 90. Just go with it. trust me youll feel the difference and your better off just doing what you wanna do.

I've been thinking of the TPIS ls6 mod also. Would a ported ls2 manifold give you the same gains?

I've done some research and found that people perfer the ls6 over the ls2 intake manifold. The ls6 intake flows damn well. And porting it out just improves the flow of the original design. I'm not a pro at porting and i probably cound have done better but being a rockie I took my time. I will get pics and post it tomorrow. I want to take it off and do the rest but for now the tb did great. A noticable increase. The only thing that dropped was the cruise control delays. But who uses that?
