Pacesetter LT's + ORP + Stock cat back = RASP!!!

What system should I go with, anything over $500 is nuts cuz I could just get some true duals thrown on there. Give me some ideas people. I was thinking the TSP catback?

LOL, if your stock cat-back rasps, nothing is going to rasp less. That's the most muffling system out there.

Tally TransAm Feb 17, 2004 02:18 PM

put a flowmaster collector on the ypipe and i bet the rasp goes away

it sounds very hollow and like tin-ey, like i dunno, metal-y
odd words i know

Ihave the same setup with a WS6 muffler. Sounds VERY mellow. No rasp

Maybe your ears are a touch too sensitive for hot rodding? :)

I have a Hooker catback with NO rasp, a stock muffler should be pretty quiet :eek2:

I have the same setup. My stock d/d catback has about 50K and I think the exhaust was too loud. So I stuck a bullet on there and it made it a whole lot better.

get a QTP cutout and then you can run around on the stock muffler or open :D

also the stock exhaust is what i have...and no rasp here..thats the reason why i kept it.... i can go and open my QTEC cutout and be the loudest thing on earth :D or close it and just be a little quiet car ;)

magnaflow makes a great muffler.

Bad Blu Formula Feb 25, 2004 10:20 AM

another vote for magnaflow. Although it can rasp at times.

hooker.

honestly though with pace-suckers (yah i have them) you should a dual true with X if you ever expect to keep the thing from banging the floorboard etc.

I really like my Texas Speed Rumbler... but I wouldn't think you'd have any rasp with the stock catback. Maybe it's because the pipe is more restrictive in the stocker (2.75" non-mandrel bent pipes)?

magnaflow!

Friend has PS LTs with Magnaflow Catback.........

Its just awesome.

I have a magnaflow muffler for sale also.

I agree!!!! When I first installed my Mac's, I still had my stock catback on and you couldn't tell any difference at all. A week later I put on true duals and have since changed to Jet Hots with ORY and GMMG. As far as a cat back, you can always do the SLP loud mouth with the dynomax bullet muffler instead of what it comes with to help out rasp.
