Talking Tsp true duals under axle + resonators

So....I got pretty sick of the duals after about a month. They sound amazing...like a freakin nascar if you have some horsepower, however riding down the interstate gets old and having to think twice about getting on it and attracting every cop within a half mile can be stressful.

I bought a couple flanges for 8 bucks each. It came with the flanges, nuts, bolts, and gaskets...a great deal i think.

I also purchased two 3" vibrant resonators for around 50 bucks each off of ebay. I choose these due to the fact that they are only like 12" long. some may say its rice burner crap but whatever.

The duals are 3 inch but my exhaust guy can only go up to 2.5 so the size was kinda jacked up. I believe the 2.5" pipe contributes to a better tone anyway.

I would like to have put the resonators in line about where the cats would have been but I didnt want to chop up the tsp system. I believe putting them closer would have resulted in even a better tone.

The rear section is also supported by hangers which were added to the frame with studs and nuts. Nothing moves, rattles, hits or anything. I was going to put some corsa clone tips on but I kinda like the way it looks from behind now.

As far as sound goes the little bit of rasp the duals had is gone completely. It has a tone comparable to an old 5.0. Just putting it out the rear had a big impact on the inside noise however the drone is equally as terrible and possibly worse at about 2500rpm due to the pitch of the exhaust.

Hell it's something different.....What do you guys think?

Don't lower it...

Not a fan of the dual "short cut" under the axle. Maybe you made the best of your situation, but I personally would have sold the TSP and went with a traditional cat back.

I think it looks alright, not a bad idea. You could paint the pipes black so they aren't so obvious.

Paint those pipes black or something so they aren't so noticeable. Besides that you should be alright. Let us hear a before and after. I'm curious how much quieter it gets!!

nice, ive always wanted to do under the axle. could always weld on some more flanges so you could disconnect it to drop the rear? i am lowered though, the only part i hit is my header collector.

whats the lowest part/point of your system? how close to the rear axle is it?

im not lowered at all and the only place that scrapes (very rarely) is the X pipe. It only hits when I go over a steep speed bump. Nothing on the rear hits at all. The rear wheels pick it up over everything. for 100 bucks the pipes are symetrical enough for me maybe I can get a video soon. the weather is better now.

I have TSP duals run out the back, under the axle as well. Much better sound than dumped. I didn't put any additional mufflers/resonators in it and it sounds great with no rasp. I painted mine with aluminum engine enamel and it looks great. I used v-flange clamps to mount the tail pipes. Takes less than 5 minutes to loosen the clamps to drop the axle. I also used v-band clamps on the header collectors. I can drop my whole exhaust easily in under 15 minutes. Try that with a slip fit y-pipe and cat back.

I also have tds out the back under the axle. Was dumped before and hated all the drone. If you want to get rid of it all put some Borla ProXS mufflers on it. Gave mine a nice deep tone and i can now get on it and not attract every cop from miles around. This is with just mufflers. Being you have resonators as well should be even quieter.
