1) stock
2) slp y pipe
3) slp loudmouth catback
4) stock cats
5) not tuning as of yet
6) not sure...
7) On a relatively stock car the LM sounds the best IMO....It has a mean sound and at WOT it screams...just driving around town people look up cause of the way it sounds. I really dont want to stray too far from this sound and I want something relatively loud but not obnoxious so I think I might go with mac mids and a catted Y...
8) definitely

1) PaceSetter Ceramic Coated
2) TSP Catted Y
3) LoudMouth
4) CarSound
5) Vinci HandHeld Tuner
6) N/A
7) I had a borlamouth setup before i installed the headers and catted y. It just didnt fit like the loudmouth setup did. It was VERY quiet though, and had a pretty good sound, but I just wasnt happy with the way it fit. I put the loudmouth tube on today for the first time with the headers and MAN...LOUDx10! But, I think it sounds good. Both setups are about the same loudness at 70mph, under WOT the loudmouth is so so so much louder.
MUST BUY MUFFLEX BUMPSTOP!!! I put that on today and was able to stop the banging. You can choose to have a banging y pipe, or a speed bump dragger. Bumpstop makes the car very streetabe.

Vinci Tuner let me install headers with NO codes! Plus I advanced the timing 10%. Best buy yet for car!

1) coated pacesetter longtubes

2) summit universal 3" X

3) no catback -> magnaflow 4x9 oval 3" dumped @ axle

4) no cats

5) any tuning you did/needed -> deleted rear o2s, air/egr

6) any verifiable dyno gains due to your exhaust setup -> not yet

7) review -> this 3" setup is very timid at idle and normal driving, yet very aggressive under WOT. has a very different sound in terms of ls1 exhaust. clearance is tight with these mufflers, modification may be needed to fit them under your backseats.

8) would you recommend your setup to somebody else? YES, most definitely, i am very happy.

1). jba ceramic coated catforward headers (ie, shorties) with CA Carb #
2). bassani stainless steel true dual system with xpipe, welded stainless steel Dynomax Ultraflo muffler
3). n/a
4). Magnaflow highflow
5). basics bolton tune, full tune up next
6). n/a, although I'm currently making 343 rwhp 349 rwtq untuned with all the boltons and a ported ls6 which is good for a shorty header car
7). Highly recommended. Planning to upgrade headers within a year. Will have sound clips on website for both setups. Deep civilized yet stout sound at idle and low revs, a roaring beast at WOT. Mildly loud but I like it, only too loud if your car is a sleeper. See more information and full review at this thread:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/494790-custom-true-dual-exhaust-design-modification-56k.html
8). Absolutely--with or without the muffler replacement--for someone looking for duals out of the box, even the bassani muffler was tuned nicely (with an edge), and would recommend to anyone. Although for assembly the system needs a good exhaust guy.

LG Motorsprorts longtube headers
- no cats
3" X pipe
Billy Boat Exhaust Bullet System
- no mufflers
O2 simulators no issues

Very Very loud, scares the all but serious would be racer away just by revving the monster a couple times.

1.) Pacesetter coated Long Tubes
2.) TSP X pipe
3.) True Duals dumped at the axel with bullet mufflers
4.) no cats
5.) tuned out the SES light due to the deletion of the cats instead of rear O2 sims
6.) haven't got it dynoed yet, but definitely feel more pull mid and high range
7.) Sounds freakin great! Loud, fercious, mean... sound better than any mustang out there, a really deep muscle car rumble and racecar scream. Not too loud inside the car, but LOTS of interior rattles, grinding sounds while in low RPMs, loose sounds... almost like the car is going to fall apart inside.. or rather tear itself to pieces . Get ready for LOTS of looks, smiles, and compliments. I can't even drive in my car anymore without a smile across my face the entire time... it sounds that good .
8.) Oh hell yes!!! OMG YES!! (that is unless your looking for a quiet sound) Those interior rattles can be fixed simply by bringing the exhaust out the back, but I kinda like the rattles for some reason

May update, new setup

1.) Pacesetter Long Tubes
2.) Jeg's universal X-pipe
3.) True Duals, dumped w/o turndowns
4.) no cats
5.) PCM for less
6.) A confirmed improvement over cherry bomb turbo 2's
7.) When they advertize that it will sound slike a classic muscle cars chambered system, they are telling you the straight up truth.
8.) Definetly. This is basiclly a true dual GMMG as far as sound is concerned.

1. Hooker LT's
2. Hooker ORY
3. Hooker Catback
4. No Cats
5. No tuning yet, but need O2 sims
6. Haven't Dynoed yet
7. I was very happy with my Hooker exhuast. It is really a deep healthy sound, almost sounds like you have a mild cam. Fairly quiet at idle and cruising which is nice, but when you stomp on the gas, you don't want to get off. Lots of looks from people. As my sister said when I took her for a drive "This car scares the S**T outta me!"
8. Would reccomend over any other exhaust, hands down. Sounds clips just dont do the justice this deserves.

1.stock
2.stock
3.magnaflow catback
4.magnalfow cats
5. stock tune
6.311/339
7. Excellent tone, Won't attract cops until you go WOT. Nice deep idle, not overly loud, no drone whatsoever. One of the best bang for the buck catbacks out there.

4) what cats your running: nah i dont have any animals
5) any tuning you did/needed: in need, but waiting for ported tb and FIPK
6) any verifiable dyno gains due to your exhaust setup.: just in my ***, dyno #s later with the tune
7) small review (or large if you like) of your over all setup, any tips you'd like to add concerning the combination.: i love the sound, i dont notice any drone b/c its a side exit setup. i will change it later b/c i cant lower the car or the bullets will drag, other than that the sound is awesome, everything else has good clearance.
8) would you recommend your setup to somebody else.: only if they dont plan on lowering the car or doing a lot of rear suspension work

NEW SETUP:

1) what headers you have: Pacesetter coated LTs
2) what Y pipe or X/H pipe you have: Custom made 3" round X-pipe
3) what catback you have: catback none, 2 bullit mufflers, yes..thinking of switching to sweet thunders...
4) what cats your running: i still dont have any animals
5) any tuning you did/needed: had some J$ tuneage done and deleted codes for all O2s and !air
6) any verifiable dyno gains due to your exhaust setup: feels like it breathes better then the side exit oval tubing did?
7) small review (or large if you like) of your over all setup, any tips you'd like to add concerning the combination: god i love it. sounds pissed off 100% of the time. stupid people always ask what cam i have (i have none). people have said "WE heard dat ish from the freeway" (they were a mile away), and "Chris's car sounded like a NASCAR getting on to the freeway" (yet again from a mile away). i really like it, maybe just a little too deep, i kinda want it more throaty, but i can also live. both those comments were made the same night at the same distance/place/time. what i really love, is my molded CME valance with the huge 3" ebay stainless steel tips on it and my berger panel w/shaved camaro letters and export lights. cleanest lookin *** i think i've ever seen on a camaro.

This is a vid i took by duct taping my sony digital cam to the recess in the rear bumper by the lisence plate.

I think a bit of clipping was taking place due to the placement and the decibels.

Its edited to reduce the boring moments.

Crank up the sound and Enjoy!

420 cube,11.3:1, Solid Roller Cam 248 @ .050 with .651 lift, 110 lsa, Ported Miniram, AFR 210cc heads, TPIS Headers, dual 3" with custom X, Borla XR1 race mufflers.

1) what headers you have: qtp lt race style
2) what Y pipe or X/H pipe you have: about a foot of 3" straight pipes dumped
3) what catback you have: none, running single chamber flowmasters
4) what cats your running: none
5) any tuning you did/needed: waiting until intake is complete
6) any verifiable dyno gains due to your exhaust setup: havent dynoed yet but seems to have a lot more gettiup
7) small review (or large if you like) of your over all setup, any tips you'd like to add concerning the combination: one of the loudest cars that i have heared in a while. i love it. raspy in the bottom range but i can handle it. you know its loud when you drive by and set of car alarms when just cruising or starting up the car and the alarm goes off in the car beside you. if you want loud go true duals. i have no regrets.

1) what headers you have
Hooker Lt's

2) what Y pipe or X/H pipe you have
3 in. y-pipe

3) what catback you have
None....

4) what cats your running
Magnaflow...but gutted

5) any tuning you did/needed
Tuning done @RPM Motorsports w/ HP Tuner

6) any verifiable dyno gains due to your exhaust setup.
Based @383 HP with gutted cats I picked up 5 HP and with further tuning I ended up with 400 HP even..

7) small review (or large if you like) of your over all setup, any tips you'd like to add concerning the combination.
Got a .598 lift cam w/Lt's, gutted cats, and no muffler (dumped behind cats). I cut the rear portion off for weight savings (not sound) because I autocross the car often in SM. Lets just says it doesn't sound stock.

8) would you recommend your setup to somebody else.
I would recommend this to anyone with a light foot. The exhaust note catches everyones attention.

KOOKS 1 7/8 SS
KOOKS catted Y
GMMG cat back
magnaflow cats
02 WS6 TA hp tuners tune
329.1 hp and 341.9 tq
Love the exhaust but even with cats has a little drone and maybe some rasp til about 3k so Im ditching the cats for an ORY. Cannot wait to hear it. All my parts are def high quality and I would buy all the components again
