90mm throttle body's tpis is now building 90mm throttle bodys for the fast intake, they are doing a run of c5's now and about 10 are allready spoken for,f body tb's to follow.it was not a big deal to build they were allready making the big oval if you are interested in a throttl body call them so they can do a large enough run. ps. the word is is that fast is not going to ever offer a c5 90mm version, their engineers said it wouldnt work? |
please move to "external engine" and then tell us the cost :) |
are they still a sponsor on this board?? I know they use to be, but i havent seen their link lately. Also may want to try posting this in the External Engine forum. |
how much will these cost? |
cost is $650 plus core |
core? so they are boring the stock TB out and making it 90mm????? |

A thought: With TBW, the PCM expects a certain amount of airflow per degree of blade opening around and just off idle. With about 44% more area, and even 20% more circumference, my guess is that idle and part throttle operation will be tricky (at best). Is it possible to modify the code in the PCM for the pedal-to-TB interface? My guess is that is fairly well protected. Even ported stock C5 TBs can have an idle speed problem, which can be annoying on an A4. Fortunately mine is A4-specific porting and drives just like stock. Of course it's not a 90! My $.02 |

Getting the OEM TB vendor(s) to sell the drive parts to the aftermarker is probably a HUGE task. Since LG has a C5 90mm that is working, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it is possible. A shame FAST can't figure out how to make one. I'm guessing quite a few Vette owners would have been willing to spend the money on this. Oh well at least they can get one from Lou. |
$650 damn that sure is expensive. Plus the picture couldnt be for the 90mm fast intake. The fast intake has a different bolt pattern then that. |

the throttle body pictured is for the fast intake there is one hole underneth and the 5th hole connot be used on a c5 because of the throttle motor. |
