Daily Driver Cam

Daily Driver Cam
I am thinking about getting a ms4 cam kit from texas speed, and I am wondering if it would be to much for a daily driver setup. Anyone have experience with the ms4 as a daily driver cam, and how is it.

It's a lot of cam for a daily driver but there are a LOT of people that drive them daily. Obviously it won't drive like stock but depending on what you would consider streetable, it would be fine. I think it drives fine but I know what to expect from a cam that big. On the other hand, there are customers that think a 224R cam drive terrible. I would find a buddy with a similar size cam and go for a ride in one.

My experience with a cammed(more MS3 size) M6 is that it's fine unless you have a lot of stop and go traffic on your commute. Trying to creep along with a cammed car sucks as it will not just idle along like stock.

I drive mine everyday that it isn't raining. And the reason for that has got to do with the fat/skinny MT tires and not the cam. I even drove it around with 2.73 rear gears for awhile before I got the 12 bolt. I know you've heard it before but a true statement is "It's all in the tune" when it comes to a MS4.

Plus, the people in the cars around you will really love your exhaust smell if you don't have cats, and they have their windows down.
Go with something like a TSP Trq. v.2, except get it with CompCam LSL 231 (#13018) lobe(.617"lift) on the intake. That would be a nicer DD cam with better low end power than the MS3.
