Seriously though, I checked with Frost before and he said removing the screen is not a problem. He did say never port a MAF housing.
Also, if anyone is getting bugs and pieces of grass on their screens, then just imagine how much dust, dirt, and sand you are ingesting into your engine. The screen is not there to filter anything, if that big crap is getting past your air filter then you have some serious problems.

I have been running my car without the screen and I even ported the housing ends to the max which was around 85mm. Like the other guy said, if you are getting stuff stuck to your screen you have a major problem. Thats why you have an AIR FILTER!!!
Guy on here did a comparo with and without the screen and gained like 1 car length in a race from 20-100, I think it was BlueKnight (who did the awesome LS6 intake install vid).
