Default Thermostat/Cooling fan question

Well this is the build from hell. I have an LQ4, with an F-body water pump. The pump was leaking from the weephole so I picked up a new one from work. I had a Hypertech 160° thermostat on the car, and had my PCM reflashed by Frost to accomodate for it.

The new water pump however is the new design, and only the GM one will work with the pump unless I switch to an LS2 thermostat. I'd like to get the car driving as soon as possible. Will it be an issue using a stock temperature thermostat with the cooling fans set lower for the 160° thermostat? If not, I think I will just order up a thermostat that will work, and pick one up tomorrow that will work temporarily to drive the car around.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
