Catback with best compromise of quiet cruising but loud at WOT?
The sound of my LPP x-pipe is just too much for me in the cabin. I'm going to put my stock manifolds, cats, and Y back on, and put on a catback. I love my car being loud when I'm pushing it, but can't stand the interior noise anymore.
So I want a catback that won't make much noise at 2k rpm or lower, but still sounds good when you open it up. I hear Magnaflows are very quiet, but some say too quiet.
What is your opinion on the best compromise between being both quiet and loud?

Borlamouth! No rasp, no drone, super quiet below 2k rpm, wake the dead loud at WOT.
Catback only:

i know its not a catback, but i had a flowmaster 80 series put on my bonestock ls1.......has a beautiful deep muscle car idle, gets nice and deep around 2-3,500....then once i hit 4000+, the car sounds pissed off, really loud and angry sounding......love it......cruising at 80mph at 2000 rpms, you canthear the car......muffler and installation ran me 120 bucks

My car came all stock except a Flowmaster welded in by the original owner. I don't know what series it is, but it actually sounded really good. But it did have some interior drone, and I want a better flowing catback, so I'll look into one of these catbacks. Keep your opinions coming if you have anymore because I'm still deciding on which one.

You own a performance car, time to trade it in and get a Civic.
In all honesty man, keep the exhaust you have now, add a Hooker muffler (VERY VERY quiet) and a cutout for when you want it loud. I bet that X pipe setup sounds awesome.

Dynomax 17227. If you live in a place where you can delete your cats, do it. Good compromise... great flow, good sound cruising (but quiet), awesome WOT sound. And much cheaper than a whole catback.

Here's mine. SLP LM2 cat-back with stock Y and cats... Not much drone at all. I love it, aggressive but not over the top.

So according to LS1 sounds, Borlamouth is just an SLP loudmouth with a borla muffler swapped in? I guess I can just start off with an SLP loudmouth II and see if I like it. Loudmouth II is quieter than Loudmouth I, correct?
And I was listening to sound clips of Magnaflow on LS1 sounds, and to me it honestly sounded the same as the loudmouth II. Not sure what to do.
