Long tube question ??

I curruntly am running slp long tubes and hear that some make better hp then others .... Would it be worth me swapping out or is the gain not much ?

well if you swap to QTPs race header with high velocity merge collectors hell yea you'll see more power....

i am doing that in a few weeks... i am tired of rusted Coated headers and other problems....

I would get all the other bolt ons first. Your gain won't get worth the money or effort. I got rid of mine but not until everything had to come off anyway. The HP difference is suppose to be small. Those QTPs with the race high velocity merge collectors are very pricey and even the guy that sells them admits that they will only give you about an extra 5 HP and will leak until they heat up.

If you are going to try to squeeze that much out then get them where the collector is adjustable and you can tune to match your cam before welding them up.

Oh yeah, if you don't have a cam get that first before swapping out your headers.

I would keep the SLP's.

Only worth swapping out if you're making about 425+ rwhp (even then, it's still not necessary). For bolt on, cam and most head cam applications, the SLP's would do just fine.

I have SLP's. They hang low, people talk shit about them, but I'm puttin' 400 to the ground cam only. They work fine.

i was more comparing them to the flps and mac long tubes and so on and so on , I like my slps i dont bottom out with them because i watch where i drive it and after two years they still look pretty good ... Thanks for the info

Macs are mid lengths. They're good for mid lengths, but would not be a good choice to go from SLP to MAC.
