Td's...Yes i read the sticky

So I am purchasing td's from a buddy of mine. He is going turbo on his caamero and no longer needs the td's. So i am purchasing them. However i want them to go out the back in stock location so i would like to see pictures and maybe cleareance demesions on an under the axel set up becuase i dont have the funds to do over the axel at this point. Anything would be a great help. :chug:

That looks good. What else does everyone have?

I've made custom under the axle before. Clearance won't be good no matter how you do it. There just isn't much room to work with.

Ckearance on my 3 inch setup was better than stock

The X and header collector is lower than the pipes under my axle. The pop can pic is my lowest point. Which isn't bad at all clearence wise.

Well im just gonna be running 2.5". I bought a custom setup already. That dumps before the axel. Just have to do thd under axel part now with tips I made. My car is stock ride height and I never plan on lowering it. Plus weekend cruiser.

Since you don't plan on lowering, you can probably pull it off. Some dummy tips would do you much better and cheaper in case you changed your mind on lowering.

here are my custom 2.5" tds under axle. I'm lowered 1" and still have great clearance.

If you're going under the axle, I'd fab in a way to disconnect the tailpipes after the mufflers, or if you ever need to drop the rear, you'll have to drop the entire exhaust as one piece.

Yea I plan on having a 3 bolt flange welded on each side so I can do that. Ive seen and read a bunch on that and never thought about it till I saw it on here. I dropped the car off at the exhaust shop this morning. I cant wait to see it all done and hear how it sounds. Should be getting it this afternoon.

So next week ill be home and ill get pictures to you guys. Its now true duals x-pipe cats bullet mufflers and under the axel out the back.
