Should I get these hooker headers?

Should I get these hooker headers? I know someone who will sell me brand new unused hooker coated headers with ory, for 480. Should I jump on this? Or save up for tsp set up? Would one or the other make a big differance? Anyone have any opinions on the hooker headers? Fitment issues? Thanks in advance!

fitment is great for sure. My car is stored in a dry garage for 7 months, then sits on pavement outside the rest of the year. After 2 years the header coating was horrible. Never driven in rain either. Now after 5 they are horrendous. I have learned my lesson to buy 1 time. Buy stainless. If I find Hookers in stainless for a good price, I will buy them again. I was tempted on the TSP headers recently, but I try to keep my cars, parts and almost everything I buy made in U.S.A.

Re-read what I wrote carefully and you should figure it out You cannot buy all American no matter how hard you try, just will never happen.

I have coated hooker 1 7/8" headers, love the fitment, install was fairly easy and I didn't have to grind/cut anything. I love the looks of SS though. If I had to do it all over again, I'd buy TSP SS with their ORY

I had hookers on my Camaro and have TSP on my Formula... The fitment was amazing on the hookers, and the TSP's. My engine was out for the hooker install so I can't comment on that, but the TSP's literally went in easier than the manifolds came out on my formula. I like the golden color the SS gets after a few heat cycles too though. I haven't had any issues with the TSP's except a gasket leak... but I've got a broken bolt that I haven't gotten out yet too, so I can't blame that off on TSP yet (though on first startup pass side also did not have the back bolt in and that side did NOT leak *shrug*). On the hookers, I don't know if the LS1 design is the same.. but for the LT1 the first drivers side primary slipped off so you didn't have to remove the steering knuckle. Nothing I did would make that stop leaking, and no one was able to weld it up for me either because of the location.
Short version.. personally I would go for the TSP's, or save up and get a set of kooks with their SS construction and their amazing coating.

I don't have good pics of the headers since they are not what I was shooting at the time and my car is still in storage atm. The headers from under the car are horrible now. The only pic I have from under the car is when they were 1 year old. As you can see, it started rusting from where all the primaries are together because the coating could not get in there to seal them. Now with 5 years on the car those small rust veins are completely bare metal rust primaries. I never scraped since I am at stock ride height. And the car is stored and driven like I said earlier. The other 2 pics are from last year from my heads / cam swap. The top of the headers looks amazing compared to the bottom, but you can still see the millions of pin dot sized blisters everywhere. It will only get worse. Stainless are next on the list.
