Default Anyone have the Mufflex system with the flowmaster 30?

I bought my 3.5" mufflex system with the magnaflow muffler, was going to get the flowmaster but wanted it quieter.

Does anyone have this muffler? its a 30 Series. Post a video if you have it.

I found this video on an LT1, which i know lt1's sound alot different, but I really like how it sounds.

I have the 4" with the Hooker Max Flow, it sounds very similar to the Magnaflow though.

Well not much reply. I ordered it today and I will throw it on and see how it sounds. I have a lift in garage so it should only take a half hour

I have the 3" system with the single in/out 30-series muffler on my '93. Mid-length headers and off-road y-pipe. Yeah, its an LT1 but of all the systems I've had so far, its by-far my favorite. Quieter than factory on the inside, absolutely no drone or resonance whatsoever, and I can actually hear the radio and have normal conversations with passengers, even at wot. Outside, its deep and hollow (typical flowmaster sound) at idle, nice and throaty while cruising, and oddly high-pitched, almost european sounding at wot.

I saw your posts, do you have any videos of it? Ive had a flowmaster catback, 80 series, then added a cutout, then went to the mufflex with magnaflow. I like how it sounds but I dont love it. I debated magnaflow or flowmaster when I bought the kit and went with magnaflow as I had a rather large cam so the exhaust was really loud.

I now have a smaller cam and can barely hear it.

I've never actually heard the 30 series, only that it's quieter than the 40 series.
In order from loud, to louder, all are center in/out.
FLO-53530-12, 30 series
FLO-953540-10, 40 series
FLO-9435109, 10 series

Thanks man, sounds great on the cold start up. Its kinda hard to tell on the track how it sounds. Im glad to see it sounds good on an ls1, ls1's are hard to get a good exhaust sound.

Is yours the mufflex 3.5 with the flowmaster 30?

It's the 4" flowmaster system they offer. But don't know what series it is. I do like the sound. But I do say its kinda loud inside the car. But I do get a lot of compliments on the sound especially at traffic lights.

Not a Mufflex.. But very similar

408ci LSx
Kooks 1-7/8 Longtubes
Kooks 3" High Flow Catalytic Y (cats gutted) to a custom 4" Y-Merge
Thru a Dynomax Bullet in the straight pipe area, over the axle...
40 series and a single 4" Dump out the back

Idle at 950 rpm
248/252 .649/.646 112 LSA +4

Idle Video

and some pictures... a little old, but the exhaust is still the same

another video..

Hey bud, got your PM - this is the only pic I have atm but I'll try to get more. Yes, the muffler inlet is towards the rear, outlet is towards the front of the car. On mine, the 'Flowmaster' stamp went up.

Thanks man, looks like I may have to do some rework to make this thing fit. If you could get more pictures that would be great. When I connect my outlet pipe, the pipe hanger bracket is hitting the tire and my hanger doesnt line up with the holes in the body. The bracket is too far towards the front of the car.

The FLO-53530-12, 30 series should swap with the Magnaflow with no issues; both have a center in/out and a 14" case length.

Hmmm sounds like the piping is for a center inlet/outlet muffler but they sent an offset in/out...

Another pic - my driver's side hanger is a tad short but it goes in and I wrapped some zip ties around the grommet to keep it in

Well I have it on, not quite sure what to think of it. Its actually alot quieter than my magnaflow, especially on wide open throttle. Not quite sure if I am even going to keep it on.
