Default Differences between a 08 6.0l and a 04 6.0l??? Need help ASAP

Hi guys I recently bought a 6.0l from a yard, after further inspection I found the block to be cracked. So the guy said he has a few others one being from 08 truck. Now I believe the cam sensor is on the front of the motor correct? If so what would it take to make that work with my harness? Could I just switch timing covers? Thanks for the help guys

Bump I guess Im not real clear on my question. For 2008 did all 6.0l engines have the cam sensor in the front cover?

all engines 08 and up have the cam sensor in the timing cover and have a 58 tooth crank reluctor wheel in truck engines 07 came both ways gen3 and gen4 you can not just switch covers to use a newer engine you have to buy a converter box to use it and have to have a couple adapter harnesses you are better off just going back with a engine that has the rear cam sensor
