Question Non LS1 ,03 Pontiac Sunfire misfire problem cylinder #3

Hey guys it's been a while since I have been here ,been really busy not much time for the car now a days. But Having an issue with my daughters 03 pontiac 2.2 4 banger. My HP tuners won't work for this due to It is just good for 99 F bodies so we Took it to AutoZone and found out Cylinder number 3 is missing real bad,Code 300 or something like that. This was after she about ran it out of gas.Was wondering maybe sucked up crap out of the tank and clogged the Injector? What do you guys think?I mean it runs really rough at idle looks like the motor is gonna jump out of the motor mounts.....Thanks!

I did put some fuel system cleaner in it but a full tank of fuel and hasn't helped.I was thinking about pulling the injector out and soaking it over night in sea foam.Think that would do it?

u pull the spark plug and c if theres n e thing noticable. like carbon build up or something? that might help. maybe time for a new fuel filter as well? i know the car doesnt have wires. so that rules that out.

Unbolt the coil & get the #3 coil terminal as close to the valve cover as possible, about 1 inch or less. Have someone crank the engine & see if it has spark. If it dont then you need a new coil assy. Very common.

Swap the suspected bad injector to a different cylinder. If your problem follows it you can assume it is the injector.

Stupid question where is the coil? On top of the Valve cover? Not like our LS motors.Swapping injectors is a good Idea as well may try that also...Thanks for the Help!

Ok Ran some sea Foam threw it and no better ,Replaced the Spark plugs and that didn't do it either even though it did need some new ones.It ended up being the Coil....
