how much you looking to spend? you can get some ported 243heads for $1600 and a cam in the mid 220/220 duration. that combination would get you nice driveability

Well it would be tough to pick the best combo but a few guys that could point you in the right direction tony mamo ( afr heads/ported mamo fast intake) and pat g for the cam, will it be cheap,no it wont but best combo and cheap do not go together, i would go a lil bigger than a 220 on the cam, not telling you to go with a big cam but my buddys vette had a mid 230s cam with prc heads n fast setup along with bolt ons and it ran very well

look at a Texas Speed (TSP) head/cam combo ,the ms3 cam with st 1 ls6 heads and a fast intake will meet your goals.or look at a vengeance racing head/cam combo.you will need a bigger fuel pump and bigger injectors and a good tuner.

best for one person is not the same for another...but a package that is already put together and tested, best way to go,let someone else do the dyno time and testing so you can reap the benefits. tsp, has good deals as mentioned. all the head company's sell packages just stay within your budget
