Default Flowmaster American Thunder catback.. Can i swap out the muffler?

Bought my Z28 with an American Thunder flowmaster catback on it.. I hate flowmaster. My Z28 sounds like a full size SUV is rolling down the block.

Has anyone ever swapped out the muffler for anything else? If not I'm just gonna get BBK LT's & ORY and a cutout.

Dynomax Ultra Flo #17536 (~$116, 409 stainless steel), or Super Turbo #17670 (~$72, aluminized steel).

Either one can be easily installed in place of the FM..

Sure...You can swap it...Exhaust shop/fab..
If money permits I'd suggest TD's...I've ditched flowmaster catback for loudmouth, then loudmouth for duals..Sounds amazing

Friend did it with a Magnaflow. The only difference is that the outlet pipes on the FM are 3" and the Mag outlets are 2.5". But he didn't have any issues welding them up.

Put y on the pipe going over axle 3" to 2 2 1/2" pipe going out to bak then run SLP LM1. Great exhaust sound. Unless you get LTs then ther will be RASP.

If you are planning to go with Headers, Stainless Works makes a tuned system that keeps the volume under control but provides the flow needed to support the extra power. We do both a 3" catback and a 3.5" system for those of you making real big power.

Also, we do all kinds of custom work so if you needed a muffler built to your own specs (maybe with some help from our engineers), we can take care of you there too.
