Need to change front o2's Tried a search but no luck... Need the part number for the OEM left and right front o2 sensors for a 2000 TA. I pulled them both off the car and laid them on the bench and now I have no clue what goes where. part# AFS098 part# AFS123 I need to replace them both at the same time and add extensions. I read the sticky on them with just splicing and extending the cable but I would not recommend it to be a solid fix. It will last a while but not as long as just doing it the right way. I did save some cash but now I will have to pay to set it up correctly. I see that Texas Speed has extensions and I will always go back to them for recomending the MS4 cam (which I love) Has any one ever tried the Delphi or NTK brand of O2 sensors. The Delphi seem to be rated close to the Ac Delco but I want to make sure its not a marketing ploy. Last thing: what is the best length of extensions to use as I have hooker supercomp headers (thanks to Tiago) |
All 4 are exactly the same. |
Use Corvette O2s and you wnt need extensions. |
Correct. a Bosch 13111 o2 is for a corvette but with longer cables. I just installed some, work great and then can simply wire tie the extra out of the way. |
Yeah for long tubes I would say get the Bosch 13111's. Also, i think on rockauto there are corvette Denso brand as well. Just search under 98 C5. I had to extend one of mine when I did LT's. Just spliced the wires to extend them. Haven't had any trouble codes, but I plan on going with the C5 02's here soon. |
Imo extentions are no good i had 3 sets and none of them locked out moisture keep on getting misfires went with the vette o2 and no problems since |
Thanks for the reply's everyone. So the Bosch 13111 is the "Vette long wire O2 sensor" that will work in a 2000 Trans AM? |

I think that you really only need the longer 02 sensor on the drivers side for LT's. Seems like I remember not having to extend the passenger side. Might depend on where your 02 bung is at. |

Yes they are labeled as downstream but they will work on our cars. There is also a Denso/Delphi or something that would work. You can grab the Bosch 13111's at rockauto for $50 + shipping. Or you can go over to ebay and pay $45 shipped for each. I was thinking I would buy one at autozone or Oreilly's and one online so that if one went bad I could take it back to the parts store. lol I think that you really only need the longer 02 sensor on the drivers side for LT's.
