If you are willing to dump them before the Axel then you should be able to get any decent exhaust shop to do them for you.. probaly under 300.. mine was only 250.

It's a 2.5" X pipe set up, with dynomax bullets exiting before the axel.

X pipe sounds nice also

EDIT: Scratch what I said.. you are in Cali. You are screwed. :judge:

read the exhaust guide stickied :judge:

Fuck emmisions.... I went with a full 3" system with the x-pipe. Local shop did it for $200 when I provided the mufflers and x-pipe. Total was a little more than $400, sounds REALLY nice, dumped before the axle too.

I hope this isn't a stupid-ass question.... here goes. Can I go true duels with my stock maniflods? I know the performance and sound will not be as good as with headers, but I wonder how it would sound.

You can do it...but I highly advise against it. The best advice I can give you is to plan your mods so that you never have to redo things...So if you ever plan on getting headers, then wait and do your exhaust with the headers. Otherwise once you get headers the entire exhaust system will have to be reworked and you are going to spend alot more money than if you had done it right the first time.

Alright then, I'm doing headers. Anyone have advise on what to get? I hear Hookers fit nicely. I can't spend alot of money, but won't go cheap either.

I am happy with my pacesetters...see my sig for exhaust :)

Not counting the mufflers and x-pipe, my setup only cost me $100 installed. :)

Email me at jeffharmon70@hotmail.com and I can get you the hookup. :hail: duals

gus99ssm6 04-05-2004 02:21 PM

H pipe, 2 dynomax bullet mufflers, dumped before axle with turndown tips. Installed and everything installed $200..
soundsbad ass!!!!!

black_knight 04-05-2004 05:39 PM

If you're going with duals for exhaust, go with pacesetter for your headers. Pretty much all of the CON's of Pacesetters are with the Y-pipe, and you won't be using one!

TheSloth 04-05-2004 06:21 PM

Do any of you guys with pacesetters and true duals have any issues with ground clearance? I went to a shop and they said I wouldn't even be able to go down a block before they get ripped right off. I drive like 60 miles every day so ground clearance is a big issue and my car is not lowered...

black_knight 04-05-2004 07:16 PM

No issues with clearance here, except sometimes I have to wait for a specific lift if I take it to certain shops.

CamaroCain 04-05-2004 07:40 PM

no major issues here, just one time when i was going down a very steep incline. I also have a deep pan on the car, and they hang about the same.

TheSloth 04-05-2004 11:08 PM

sweet... those guys at the exhaust shop were just being dicks too, they said I HAD to have cats.. oh well :)

zchgla 04-06-2004 12:04 AM

anyone have any pics of pacesetters + true duels to where you would be able to see the ground clearance?

Yep. What's your email? The few sets I've fabbed have better clearance than the stock exhaust.

02 TA 04-06-2004 02:49 PM

I have a set that JHarmon built and they are great for ground clearance, I have had no issues yet.
