Can't figure it out I have a 2000 camaro ls1 did a cam and ls6 intake, got everything together can't seem to get it started checked every ground tried new and old spark plugs and wires replaced cam sensor map sensor coolant sensor, spark plugs are dry put new injectors in didn't make a difference, checked ever fuse, reset the PCM, plugged a programmer in nothing on it that would make it not run. Only other thing I was thinking is crank sensor even tho I have touched it. Just really stuck any ideas would be helpful thanks |
Is it trying to turn over at least? Or just clicking? Check these easy things first: -Battery charge -Check all grounds including grounds off the head are in fact grounded -All 3 wires are connected to the negative terminal of the battery (alternator/fans/fp)? -Fuel pump delivering fuel? -Injectors delivering fuel? -Spark plugs firing/arcing? Once you can locate what's not working you can troubleshoot from there. I think if you forget to plug in a sensor, it'll turn over, but run like shit. So, it's probably fuel/spark related. |
It turns over fine |
By saying "new" injectors..where they different (LBS. etc.)as far what was in there originally? |
Ford svo red tops 30# lbs I have stock back in now after trying to start it I purged the line and fuel cam out and also poped a injecter off to see if fuel is getting into the intake and there was |
my understanding is , u cant change injectors w/o a tune. my tuner actually plugged his laptop on rt after we put the injectors on, was very adimandnt about it..my .02 |
Yea but idk if injectors is the problem no spark and spark plugs are dry but fuel is apparently flowing threw the stock injectors |
Hope u get it figured out man....weird how plugs are dry but u have fuel thru the injectors? |
You sure the injector cables are wired properly so that fuel is getting injected. Here is the wiring: 1 violet 3 light blue 5 green 7 red 2 red 4 green 6 light blue 8 violet |
Wiring should be fine didn screw with any of it and it ran like a dream before I started tear down for the cam |
|
Got her running turned out to be a pulled wire that connectes to the crank sensor |
