02's spacing from CATS

How far should my 02's for the rear be from my Cats? they are modifying my ORY and they need to know the distance from the cat to the 02 bung.

Driver's side is less than 2" downstream, mounted on the
stock pup-cat piece; passenger's is a foot or more, mounted
almost down on the Ypipe . The closer, the better, it looks
like. They like it hot.

Does it matter if they are both say 2" from the cat?
