Why true duals when they aren't? I keep seeing people all over this board talking about 'true duals with an x pipe'. Why would you call them true duals then? Am I missing something? Aren't they only 'true' duals if there is no crossover? Dan |
They are "true" in comparison to a stock setup, considering they don't merge into 1 pipe/muffler. 2 pipes into 2 mufflers is "dual" enough for me, even if they do meet at 1 point. Jeff |
the crossover helps with scavenging and sound, duals with no crossover sound awful, like the older vipers everyone complained about how they sounded. thats because they didnt have any crossover in the exhaust so you were hearing two separate inline 5 cylinders instead of one v-10. |
Duals is exactly what it says; 2 pipes instead of one. |
