Is there a way to tell a Ls6 intake from a ls1 intake.
 

Ok. Bought a 98 ss. It has full exhaust lid with k & filter. Cam. Prev. Owner said it has a Ls6 intake on it. I'm getting ready for a Dyno tune on friday. Is there a way to tell by looking on the outside to see if it is a ls6.

Yeah... The ls6 intake does not have an egr hole in the top of it behind the throttle body.

I just did some research on it. And I found the numbers. Mine says 12573572 on it. It looks like it came off the z06 from what I can tell. Thanks for the help.

Here are 2 side by sides. the LS1 is curved and has a molded dimple at the bottom where it sits. the LS6 intake is flat. Also, there is a difference from the top where TB mounts but I can't find those pics.

the egr hole is not a sure sign as vette ls1 intakes also didn't have egr.

The key is the flat bottom on the LS6 intake manifold. :nod:
