Interested in High Flow Cat's 98 Z28 M6, 224/224/112, LT's, ORY, LM1. I have had several people tell me a high flow cat will cut down on rasp, quiet the car down a bit, and eliminate most of the exhaust smell. Would these cat's after my headers/before the Y do the job? http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Thunderbolt-Catalytic-Converter-High-Flow-Stainless-Steel-/140941752250?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20d0c877ba&vxp=mtr |
Personally, id go with Magnaflow HF cats |
I have no experience with thunderbolt cats, but Magnaflow makes awesome CATS. It does quite down the rasp. |
I have thunderbolts in my y-pipe. Only been on the car a year or so. Not sure how they will hold up in the long run. They did take alot of the rasp out but not completely. |
OP, what long tubes and ORY are you running? |

i've always heard that random technology makes the best flowing and most durable cats |
x2 on Random Tech, Nate.... |
I have the random tech torque arm and love it but I went with the thunderbolt cats. They seem to be just what I was looking for, won't know until it gets put on the car. I underestimated the amount of noise a camed car would make with loudmouth. |
