Interested in High Flow Cat's

98 Z28 M6, 224/224/112, LT's, ORY, LM1.

I have had several people tell me a high flow cat will cut down on rasp, quiet the car down a bit, and eliminate most of the exhaust smell.

Would these cat's after my headers/before the Y do the job?

I have no experience with thunderbolt cats, but Magnaflow makes awesome CATS. It does quite down the rasp.

I have thunderbolts in my y-pipe. Only been on the car a year or so. Not sure how they will hold up in the long run. They did take alot of the rasp out but not completely.

OP, what long tubes and ORY are you running?

Did they take out the raw fuel smell? Have you noticed any sulfer smell from them at all?

i've always heard that random technology makes the best flowing and most durable cats

x2 on Random Tech, Nate....

nascarnate326 Apr 18, 2014 06:47 PM

I have the random tech torque arm and love it but I went with the thunderbolt cats. They seem to be just what I was looking for, won't know until it gets put on the car.

I underestimated the amount of noise a camed car would make with loudmouth.
