Default Ditched the Magnaflow Catback muffler

So after 10 yrs I ditched the muffler that comes with the Magnaflow 3" catback sytem. Replaced it with a Dynomax VT muffler, and what a difference! no rasp, no drone and a full 6 DB quieter! I love it!

I would have to look it up. But in 3" they only have a few. I got 3" offset inlet and 3" centered outlet. My muffler guy said they are junk and wont last three weeks! We shall see...lol

I put 2 VT's on my old 03 Mach 1 and compared to magnaflow mufflers they killed the drone ALOT. knocked off a good amount of Db' as you mentioned. Don't be surprised if you hear slight clanging of the internal valve after a while on cold start ups.

Most likely your Magnaflow burned up and blew out it packing over time. For a almost direct swap, and likely better choice would have been a Dynomax Ultra-Flo welded #17227 .
