How much to install LT's

What's up guys? I have my LT's on order and I was wondering how much people are spending to get them installed so I know how much I should pay.

Thanks in advance

pay

most shops will charge 350-400 bucks.

Cost me exactly $0.00 . Did them myself. It's definitely worth a try if you can turn a wrench.

you owe it to yourself to try to do it on your own. This is one of the main reasons we have LS1tech.com. To help us when we get stuck. I was fortunate enough to have access to a lift so I cannot warn you about the little mishaps. But with a little bit of planning, some extra sets of hands, anyone can install headers. It just takes patience, a little bit of know how (i.e knowing how to use rachets and perhaps a sawzall), a couple of tools that you can even rent for fairly cheap from home depot, and an ice cold 24 pack to party when you have completed the task and AFTER you have gone on your madian voyage with your new mod in place.

Its honestly a blast and you learn so much. It would be a shame to not give it a try. Plus its just that much more satisfying knowing you did it yourself. Oh and if you have a digital camera have that ready for documentation to help others in their future install and just in case you run into a rut and need some help. we'll be glad to hook a brotha up with advice.
good luck

Yea, give it a try. I just finished up the ypipe. Took me exactly 6 hours to do my Jet Hot install on ramps and stands by myself. 1/2 that time is spent getting the car up in the air and down and up and down and up and down!! It is very satisfying.

:stupid: do it yourself, I did mine with only help assembling the ypipe earlier this year, its really not that difficult and you'll gain experience, if you dont have the tools consider that $300-400 tool money for you and go buy yourself a really good set of tools & a compressor. Check out my install notes at the bottom the only "specialty" tool you would want to have is a 10mm gear wrench, other than that its just a basic tool set. If you already have the tools to do it and a jack now you'll have money for a cam ;)

like others have said, save the money for having someone else do it and do it yourself! :D in retrospect to my own lt install it wasn't that hard at all!

I install mine and had no help even. It was slow going (since I had no spare set of hands) but after doing it once you could slap them on and off easy. Doit. The $ saved and satisfaction if well worth it!

most sponsors will charge around 200-400 ....

but its really not that bad to do it your self.. there are lots of write ups here regarding how to do your own installs and what not..
give it a try.... plan it out... and i bet you you'll be happy you did it your self..

everyone is new at this at one point or another...... its your time to join the rest that save the cash and do it them selves... ;)

good luck

Do them yourself, and save the money for more mods. I did mine and it waas a breeze, It was a lot easier then I thought it would be.
