Oh yeah I had to reuse the bolts off the ls6 intake I had to bolt it down. I mentioned this to my tuner and he said "I just tuned one of those for a guy that has a c5 zo6. The difference between the ls6 and the msd was 1hp..."
I'm still waiting on dyno time but I will update you guys as soon as I get on there with my numbers.

Yeah I talked to tech support, they told me they don't have a part number for the hardware set like they do for most of their other products. They also couldn't answer the simple question of whether the pre-installed hardware was included in the parts list and that's why it seemed like some was missing. Which turns out was the case for most of the missing hardware, but not all.

By the way, do you remember if the two bolts on either side of the throttle body opening used washers? Seems like they should, but if that's the case then they shorted me on hardware again.

Well this is a fun turn of events. Got the replacement intake with all the proper hardware, plus they replaced the single use seals with reusable ones, and it looks like they've improved their molding process because the finish is much better and it doesn't have all those hideous flaws.
However, when I went to make the first pass with the torque wrench on the three top stanchion bolts at 50 in-lbs (spec is 75), all three of them stripped out. Here we go again...

Interesting about the seals. I wasn't real happy with how well they stayed in. I need to pull the intake and fix a leaking steam vent port in the rear, so maybe I'll grab a new set of gaskets while I have the intake off.
Sure, I'd be interested to see them side by side.

Got my "mamofied" MSD from Tony for my 408!!! Fitment was real good. Had to grind the outside of the valve cover rail on both driver and passenger side to clear the intakge. Valve covers are the Proform valve covers. Stockers looked like they clear by a mile. But really no issues and I'm extremely impressed at Tony's work! His stuff is Top Notch!!! Def can't wait to get it running and on the dyno. It's going in my '92 s10.

Finally figured out why the shoulder bolts on top kept stripping out. Tech support was right when they said they were too short, but what they apparently didn't realize is that the shoulders were also too long. So instead of torquing the top half to the bottom and compressing the seals, I was just torquing the shoulders against the threaded inserts, which was way more torque than they could take. Swapped em out for some bolts that were lying around and it worked fine.
