Default 3.5 VS 4" Merge and cutout

What would be the benefits of using a 4" merge over a 3.5" ?

Trying to figure out which was to go. The car is going to be stock cube HCI only

The benefit is better flow with equals more power. The 4" is the better choice. This is what I run on my HCI LQ9, and it made a noticeable difference over the crappy Pacesetter merge

Could you post some pics when you get it put on?

On my H/C/I car I had 1 3/4 LTs, 3 inch y pipe in the flowmaster 3in-4 out merge, 4inch pipe to the back seat area, 4 inch cutout and back into the SLP dual/dual muffler and only picked up like 4hp with the cutout open. I was kinda surprised.

I had similar results with a 3.5" merge and cutout setup like yours into the stock T/A catback when I was cam n ported heads. It made 375rwhp open and only lost 7hp when closed. Sounded awesome but thats about where the benefits ended. I swear from a roll it pulled harder with the cutout closed.

Mine only picks up .05 at the track with the cutout open. Imo on a stock cube engine the 3.5 vs 4 merge is going be within a few hp at most

Got the 4" merge & cutout on today. Holy **** it is loud. Wayyy louder than my old 3" on the pumpkin. Sounds good with cutout closed. Sorry no vids of that. Luckily it's not my daily or I would go deaf in a week haha

I loved my Cutout setup here in Nazifornia. Quiet when needed and loud when I wanted to wake the dead. Best of both worlds
