Default Anyone have problems with coil reloaction on 4th gen f body?

I have to get taller valve covers to clear my rocker arms, and it looks like I need to relocate the coils , due to them hitting the heater box. I could swap the stock rockers back in, but want to use new rollers. Has anyone had problems with just relocating them above the motor on the cowl?

I relocated them with a bracket made by CBM products. You can actually mount them anywhere where theres room. Just have to get a custom cut to fit wires and a extensions for the coil harness for each bank.

Bolo - Thank you for the input on our product.

Matt - This is the kit that you would need.

I would like to see some more pictures of coils mounted down on the frame rails.

Mine are down on the rails right in front of the k member. Truck coils, custom brackets and cheap cut to length wires. Fires off 1000hp worth of E85 just fine with plugs gapped at .018". Not a very good pic but all i had on my photobucket. I can snap more if you'd like.

Yes. Exactly what I'm looking for! I actually have more room due to not having a turbo lol. Which wires did you go with? And how do you keep them together and off of everything? More pics would be awesome if you ever get a chance! Thanks.

Think the wires are the msd street fire cheapies. Got em in a trade deal. Used zip ties to keep the wires away from heat. Couple more pics:

Did you weld the brackets to the rails?

Drilled holes in the rails and used nutserts to bolt the brackets down.
