Default You guys ever get a messed up fast 102 like this?

So I ordered a fast 102, and it came with only 1 insert for the throttle body. Bought it brand new from eBay, and it was drop shipped from comp cams who was quick to make it right. Fast never responded, but I didn't get it directly from them, so that's not a big deal. AMS racing and comp cams made it right and sent me a label, and said they will ship my new one out ASAP as soon as I dropped it off at FedEx. Just sucks because now the car is down for a few extra days, but oh well. Glad comp cams and AMS racing made it right the best they could. Here's a pic.

as you can see, there's no markings so those inserts were never install. Weird. (Don't mind my leg in the picture, lol)

FAST products are largely garbage, **** poor QC and engineering, almost always have to modify to get their crap to fit.

I've only found that to be true of their throttle bodies. I have never had a single issue with their intakes.

Seems odd to call it garbage, based on its success and popularity. It looks fine other than the missing inserts. Be nice if they sent me a damn t shirt or something for my trouble, but I just want the damn intake.

Having to shim a cradle to fit an intake (like w/ the 102 in Vettes) is OK in your book?

You should provide some specific details on this. Anyone can call anything garbage, but not everyone can prove it.

Well I know the paint comes off of the lettering just sitting in the box. I find that EXTREMELY annoying.

It's annoying. How many things do you pay close to a grand for and have the paint fall off before you even use it.

Did you spend close to $1,000 on a Fast intake because of the paint?

Ah I didn't know fast was owned by comp. explains why it was shipped by comp. if that was the case, I should have at least got it overnight, lol.

At the very least I want extra stickers. Lol

I would not be happy either if I paid what they ask for a product that the paint fell off before I installed it.

Yup worst intake ever. Except for all the other intakes. And that it makes great power. And looks pretty decent. And fits under that F body cowl. But other than that, total garbage.

I find it amusing when people get upset at having to mod their car in order to mod their car.

People also used to get pissed at kooks that don't clear all the fabbed 9" rears out there. Really? Kooks didn't engineer your exact build?

Yea I agree. Mine was more a quality inspection issue, that's screwing me. With the way they have the market cornered and the price of these intakes, you'd think they'd at least throw in free intake seals or something, haha.

I have a FAST intake on the shelf for my car over a year, exposed, no bag or box. Painted lettering is fine.
