Default LS1 with BTR stage 3 cam & catless longtubes

Hey guys, haven't visited the forum in years. Decided to get the ws6 out and swap cams. I've read so many posts saying to go with 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 longtubes, so is there any real proof that 1 7/8 longtubes lose torque below 3k rpm? I saw a dyno test Texas Speed did a few years ago, pitting their 1 7/8 against Pacesetter 1 3/4 longtubes, and it looks like the 1 3/4 had around 6ftlbs more than the 1 7/8 at 3k rpm. So it makes me wonder what the torque difference would be between 2k-3k rpm? I do a lot of city driving, so my car isn't seeing revs above 3k rpm that often. I just don't want to lose that push back in the seat feeling at lower speeds/rpms. I have 4.10 gears in my m6, so I know that will help, but does the low end difference really justify going with either 1 3/4 vs 1 7/8, or would it not be something I'd notice with 4.10 gears? I already have the 1 7/8 headers in a box waiting to be installed, but might send them back in exchange for the 1 3/4 if it's worth the low end torque.

You'll get conflicting responses but nowadays I think most people are opting for 1 7/8. But it's a timeless argument.

Like others have mentioned stay with the 1 7/8s. The gains outweigh the minimal loss in low end.
