WOW, this thread has 400 replies. I sold my TD and keep their 1 7/8 headers and bought their Y pipe, hooked it to my Borla and I'm happy. I would have liked to keep the TD's but I wanted to drive the car not work on the exhaust any longer.

I put in an extra hanger in front of the axle and measured it. I have a beer can of clearance at minimum. If they bent the pipes in front of the axle a little different they could get another 1/2" to 3/4" clearance.

All my body seams. When you look at the seams, you can see these 1-inch long welds every few inches. Mainly to help stiffen it and kill the rattles

Unless you take a big hammer to it lol. Would you say you have a beer can clearance under the x-pipe as well, or did it move at all after you added the hanger?

Sounds about ride for a stock ride height car, I would would have a can of clearance as well if I wasn't lowered 1.5in.

I just don't get the ppl "not you big hammer" that are stock ride height and are saying that they don't have clearance or have like 3/4 for clearance being stock ride height.

What is stock height. I couldn't get a solid answer to that question. I wanted to start at stock height as I set my ride height and lower to where I thought I could still fit exhaust without issues.

Just finished installing speed engineering's true dual on my 02 z28 and am very happy with how it turned out. As others have stated the bolts for the clamps are total junk, I wasted my time trying to use them but ended up buying grade 8 hardware to replace. You must take your time - clamp the pipes look at it, loosen pieces and keep tweaking it until you get everything looking good. This took sometime but was well worth it.

so you got bored one day and did this or was there actually a noticeable difference afterwards?

Just ordered an SE rear exit, as soon as it gets delivered ill install it and let you guys know how it goes. its going on a twin turbo TA that is lowered on hotchkis springs. Car has a umi torque arm mount that scrapes on basically everything already so im not to worried about it.

Thank you guys for the business and comments. We are currently on back order with the true dual rear exit kits. We put an eta of 6/1. Hopefully they will be in sooner than later.

Thanks
Sean

Yes there was. I went from hearing metallic rattles to hearing the little interior squeaks. I also noticed the car lifts truer, if that makes any sense at all. Edit -- Meaning when I lift from the side, both wheels lift, not just the one closest to the jack.

And no, it wasn't out of boredom. I seen hioSSilver post about it somewhere and decided it looks like a good idea.

Well I've had some exhaust shops look at mine and they try adjusting the pipes and it hasn't made any improvements. I love the way this kit sounds but I'm sad to say it's for sale and I'll have to look at a different setup. Good luck guys!
