That test only used 3 stock intakes IIRC, maybe 4. LS1, LS6, TBSS, and I think the stock LM7, not sure. All others were aftermarket, all of which improved on the OEM manifolds, some barely. All aftermarket manifolds cost much more than the OEM ones. So yeah, the LS1 was lowest, then I think LM7, followed by LS6 and TBSS, then all aftermarket ones, again not always by much distance. So you saying the LS6 is a turd is not at all accurate, as some of the aftermarket manifolds were not improvement enough to justify the much higher prices, which makes them turds too. The LS6 holds its own quite well among the lower-end but higher-priced aftermarket manifolds.

Though Hammer has done well with his set up, he is still a bit of a narrow minded know it all. If this were not true, he would have acknowledged Blackbirds success with the ported, TPIS intake. There are many parts and motors in the motorsports world that have there place and pretty much none of them shine in every situation. Hammer spends too much time in SR&K.

So once you heavily modify an ls6 intake it's not that terrible? Interesting

People say you get good money for the LS6 intake then say the fast 102 costs too much...

No. One in a class of geniuses that tries hard to be so, if you want to use awkward metaphors(too big a word for you??).

No. It makes a very good manifold even better if the situation demands the modification.
What happened? You took a cold chisel to an LS6 manifold and you blame the manifold for lousy results? Interesting....

So around the 4 worst performing intakes are the "class of geniuses"?

No I realized it was a turd years ago and just threw it in the trash where it belongs

The worst one was the LS1 IIRC, and it did not do badly, just not as well as the others. A "B+" in a class of "A" students

I consider it saving someone from a turd intake.

In an effort to save this thread from where its heading without really hijacking it:

Do you guys think its worth it to buy a Dorman LS6 over the LS1 intake? I'm considering it.
