Default Speed Engineering True Dual Exhaust *VIDEO CLIP*

Thought I would post a video of my 2002 Firehawk which I have recently installed the Speed Engineering true dual exhaust. I myself like to hear what other cars sound like before I make exhaust purchase, so I figured this will help some of you out!

Basically all stock motor beside Blackwing intake, longtubes, and dual exhaust. ENJOY!

Clean car man! Sounds really good to me in that clip. Ive been going back and forth on wether or not to go with this system. I keep reading mixed reviews. Some people dont like the sound. Im looking for a deep tone with no rasp.Looks like you tucked it up nicely too. If I do go with it Im gonna integrate it to my CME.

I don’t have a cam so I know it wouldn’t be to obnoxious. With just bolt-ons it sounds awesome.

I'm probably wrong but an older car usually you pay a fee upfront

In Cali, anything post-1974 gets inspected. Visual and sniff for pre-OBDII cars, visual and plug-in for OBDII. No exceptions

1st, Congrats, on the clean car.
2nd,even better you still have a virgin, unmolested car
3rd, Back in the day. 15+ years ago we used to have a website called LS1sounds.com. There was a plethora of different exhaust setups, with cammed, built, headers/muffler combos etc.
But about 2010ish the host shut the site down. I've heard rumors over the past 10 years that someone was buying it and was gonna reopen it. Haven't seen or heard anything though. Maybe @Prostock John knows. He's always up to date on rumors.

These true duals sound awesome, but in my case with my setup, the drone was obnoxious. I have a 98 with SE 1-7/8 headers, their true duals and I recently had the SE bullet's replaced with Borla XR-1s. This is the ticket for me, I'll post up a video here in just a bit. My car also has the Summit Ghost Cam, ported 92mm Fast intake with 92mm Nick Williams TB.

thanks! I was searching for a clean unmolested car so I can add my own touches to it. Yeah I remember that site like it was yesterday, it had all kinds of sounds that I listened to. It would be nice to bring back, but just seems like YouTube has you covered now lol.

That’s where I figured just being a bolt-on car it would sound nice. Having a cam would make it more aggressive sounding I’m sure. Putting those Borla XR-1’s on had to give it a good tone

Sounds good, how low does that middle section hang right before it makes the bend up over the axle?

thanks

I think it tucks up pretty nice. I’m stock height right now and about to put on some BMR lowering springs so we’ll see how clearance will be then.

I only had the borla catback on with the factory manifolds. I swapped everything out when I did the SE headers and dual exhaust at same time.
