Need help choosing my new exhaust...!!! 99 z28 m6
Hey guys, I have a bone stock (minus suspension and wheels) 99 z28, ls1 m6, stock manifolds, stock cats, stock y.
I am wanting to install a new muffler, preferably in the I pipe location but can be in the stock location if needed, I will also be installing 3" pipe after the muffler, then a split into dual 2.5" out the factory location.
I am very picky about exhaust sound and have done my research, read LOTS of threads on here, but still have some questions ..
My muffler choices are:
1. Borla XR1 #40085 (i pipe location)
2. Magnaflow #12867 5" round( i pipe location)
3. Magnaflow #14419 4" round (I pipe location)
4. Magnaflow #11219 4x9x14" ( factory location, sideways)
5. Flowmaster #FLO-8430109 10 series delta force (factory location sideways)
***I am leaving the stock manifolds/cats and y as is, and dont want a cross-flow muffler of any kind.*** So please keep that in mind.
Im looking for a muffler thats never raspy, is very deep/bass, progressive sound that gets louder the more the throttle and loudest at wot, and that doesnt "thin" out at high rpms, and i dont want drone at highway speeds...
I really like the deep magnaflow sound, but am concerned about "crackly" sound at high rpms with wot w/ the #14419 or #12867. Havent heard these on stock manifold/cat/y ls1 exhaust.
I also really like the 10 series flowmaster, but am concerned about interior drone.
I have heard many clips of borla mouth (xr1), but cant tell how deep the sound is from the videos.
The Magnaflow #11219 sounds wonderful on 5.3 chevy and ls1 swaps but havent heard it on a f body..
Im open to suggestions. Thank you in advance for the help!

Since your car is bone stock... I would honestly suggest a GMMG chambered exhaust kit you can get it through MadHammer's website or Hawksthirdgen (if you want it new) Do a search up on youtube they sound great!
When I made a post on here about possibly going with that exhaust kit everyone said they sound amazing on a stock LS1. When you start adding LT headers into the mix that's when they tend to get raspy from what people were telling me. Good luck and have fun man!

Thank you for the suggestion on the GMMG, I do love the sound of that catback, especially on a stock Ls motor. However I'm reeeeeeally trying to keep the price of my exhaust under $450, if possible.

I have seen a GMMG system for around that price in the classifieds here on LS1tech.. so if you love how they sound keep an eye out! I will keep an eye out for one on here for you too if you'd like.
