Car won't start help!
 

Hey guys. So I recently did a cam swap (MS4) about a month ago. I went into y car today and when i turned the key I heard a "click!" coming from under the hood and the car wouldnt even crank over. Im pretty sure its the starter motor. Im also getting code P1638. Do I have a bad starter motor? or did a connection come loose?

Check the battery first. The starter will only click on a low charge. Once you establish the battery is OK, move on to starter connections. ALL of them. If all is well-connected, then you could suspect the starter.

Also check the wiring around any exhaust components just to make sure nothing got burnt or damaged from heat. Check connections at battery, alternator and starter. If connections and wiring look good, maybe get the battery and alternator tested to rule out those out. Code P1638 could be from a bad alternator.
