Default throttle body ?

i have a ls6 intake on my 02' with a factory ls1 throttle body, is it worth going with a ported or ported to match the ls6 intake opening? or should i wait till i do a h/c install and do a fast setup?

if ported is a good route where and who does them any help would be much appreciated! mods are in my sig.

Are you asking about porting the TB or the LS6 intake?

sorry, just the throttle body. no need for the intake...right?

been a mustang guy for many years getting back into the swing of f-body world again, apologize for dumb questions..lol

No worry man, its not a dumb question at all. You could port the intake but the general concensus is that for the money its simply not worth it. Porting the TB is cheap and not a bad idea IMO. I had Shaner Performance do mine, and I wanna say it was maybe $75 If I remember right

I personally wouldn't waste my time porting a factory TB. Get a better intake/TB setup if you want to make more power.

Yeah, I'd say if you can't port it yourself I wouldn't worry about it. I did mine on my truck and car, but it didn't cost me anything but a few hours between the two TBs.
