Why not add some high flow cats and/or a bullet muffler in the I-pipe section?

Bullet is another name for glasspack. You might not be interested in cats, but they do help quiet the exhaust. Plus, headers make the exhaust louder too. The only thing "factory" that is doing anything is the choker of a factory muffler. The original manifolds and cats, plus a smooth stock cam did almost half the job of quieting the exhaust, originally.

Yes the factory muffler and catback is choking off some power, and any aftermarket muffler that won't choke off power is going to be louder. You simply can't have it both ways

Anything after market IS going to be louder. Stock is as quiet as you can get. You know as well as I when your car was completely stock, you could not hear it, or very little. Yours is loud because you are pumping exhaust out of a cammed engine thru long-tube headers into a non-catted Y-pipe, into a stock muffler. Hardly a stock setup.

True duals with a x pipe can be pretty quiet and you can gain power with the right setup.

I run SE long tubes and xpipe with bullets when im just cruising around my car is pretty quiet untill I open it up then its pretty damn loud so you can really control the noise the car makes based on your foot control

The blackheart on a cammed car without cats is going to be louder than what he has now. I have the blackheart duals with magnaflow high flow cats behind long tubes and a healthy cam and it's just as loud as my old magnaflow catback behind an ory was.

Shave your vagina hair off and put it in your muffler for additional sound dampening. Tell your neighbors to go F themselves, unless you drive like a jackass. Nothing wrong with having a performance car. Your setup should not be offending anyone.

Are they shooting you nasty looks, or have you become the local social pariah? As said, just don't romp on it until you are out of the area. Performance sounds happen.....

I think I'll take your advice and look for a v6 and then stuff the factory v6 muffler with vagina hair ...
Prob will sound like a Prius then
Thanks for all the help
