Default 1 pin vs 2 pin oil pressure sensor

I bought an ACDelco D1818a 2 pin oil pressure sensor without knowing that there are 1, 2, and 3 pin D1818a sensors. My car requires the 1 pin sensor. I already installed the sensor and took it out, so I cannot return it. Can I just break off the second pin and use this sensor or do I have to buy another one?
