Default Slp dual dual vs. Magnaflow exhaust

I have a 02 ws6 ta car. I have a slp dual dual catback system with tsp 1 3/4 lts and 3in ory. It sounds kinda quiet at idle, but wakes up at wot. I plan on getting a 223 226 114 lsa cam and ported 243 heads. Will i be able to hear the lope of the cam with the slp dual dual exhaust or would a magnaflow muffler be louder and flow more? Is the magnaflow louder at idle to hear more cam lope?

It depends on which Magnaflow muffler you're talking about, and yes you will hear some chop from that cam with your current exhaust. Of course it's not going to be radical or anything, but it will be noticeable

Do not swap to Magnaflow, you will be very disappointed. Dual dual is one of the best sounding catbacks out there. Yes you will be able to hear the cam. Ive owned both!

If it's the big oval type muffler that goes in the same location as the stock one, then it's not worth the switch IMO

Ive also considered buying the new tsp stainless catback with cutout for fbodys. Sounds more agressive at idle and wot than dual dual, but its about $600. I also have another slp dual dual muffler with tailpipes as a back up in case something ever happens with mine sitting in my closet lol. Bought it for $30 from my friend who has a 02 firehawk.

I just swapped from the dual/dual to the TSP 3" catback on my car with headers and ory. I honestly LOVE the swap. My favorite catback used to be the dual/dual setup but honestly the TSP one blows it away. Its louder but not annoyingly so or anything like that. Plus it has some nice cackles and pops now depending on what you are doing and that sounds badass as well. The tips look way better too.

Buy it from ws6store and its $530 and free shipping too so you save almost 100 over TSP direct.

I have the 2OTL. So it's similar.. but with a cammed ls1, long tubes, ORY. It has a nice tone when driving around and you can tell it's cammed although it's not loud at all. I wanted more loudness from it so I added a cut out below rear seat. Good compromise IMO since its not always "party time" haha I have a video of it on you tube I think. Same name as my screen name..
